The
magic of the roseland
We
think this is one of the prettiest areas of Cornwall. Much of the coast
is protected by the National Trust and is still very unspoilt. The peninsula
is bound by the sea on one side and on the other by the Fal estuary.
There are lovely coastal walks and many safe sandy beaches.
You
can enjoy watching the sailing from the picturesque village of St Mawes
then take a stroll along the front and visit Henry VIII’s castle
or take the ferry to Falmouth and visit the National Maritime Museum.
The
Eden Project and Lost Garden’s of Heligan are within a half hour
drive and a trip on the King Harry ferry takes you to Trelissick Gardens
(NT) and on the city of Truro.
It
is also an excellent centre for exploring Cornwall. We are less than
an hour’s drive from Padstow, St Ives, St Michael’s Mount
(NT), and Lanhydrock House (NT).
